數學暖知識 ─ 畢氏定理

• 百牛定理？
  

   

  據說畢氏定理又稱為「百牛定理」。原因是畢達哥拉斯發現這個定理後，殺了一百頭牛慶祝。

  不過這應該是謠傳的成分居多，因為畢氏學派是吃素的（生食蔬果）。

   

 

 

• 新娘座椅定理
  

   

  畢氏定理的別名真的很多，其中一個是「新娘座椅定理」（The Bride’s Chair）。

  不過這其實是畢氏定理的其中一種證明方式，所以應該稱為「新娘座椅證法」。

  證明方式會用到下面這張圖。

  

  說真的，我看不出來這哪裡像新娘的座椅？
